You can use your ‘next’ and ‘back’ arrow keys to change the image. The enlarged image also has active areas for quick navigation.

The thumbnail pages are arranged in 5 columns and 50 rows. If you can only see a few rows or columns of thumbnails, it is probable that your screen resolution is set very low. Use your browser scroll bars, your mouse wheel or up/down keys, or better still - increase your screen

The pictures galleries are sized to be displayed on a 1024x768 screen resolution or above. If your resolution is less than this you will have to use your scroll bars or mouse wheel to see all the page. Many computers are set for a low resolution as a default setting, so it is worth checking.

The lists will take a few moments to load because they have thousands of entries. Scroll down the list using your scroll bar or mouse wheel. If you find the ship you want click on it to go directly to that ship in the galleries. To return to the lists, use your browser back button. (Obviously if you then start browsing the gallery you will have to do a lot of clicking to get back to the list!). It will take a few seconds to reload the list because it has so many entries. You can also use you browser search facility (usually key ‘F3’) to search for parts of a name.

To copy pictures from the site, right click the picture and click ‘Save picture as’. Each gallery will open in a new window - just close that window when you want to move on to the next letter. Unnamed trawlers listed under ‘Trawler’ - unnamed motor torpedo boats listed under ‘MTB’ - unnamed submarines listed under ‘Submarine’.

When looking for many ships, it is much quicker to BROWSE the Picture Galleries instead of using the list SEARCH, which takes a long time to load.

This site is best viewed using Internet Explorer 6/7 with a screen resolution of 1024x768 or above. If you have any pictures of old ships, please send them to me so I can include them.

Make use of the quick navigation clickable areas on the enlarged image to quickly go through the enlarged images.
